Itinerary Details

Now the real adventure begins!

As we board the Sundarban launch/cruise and sail towards our first destination, Gosaba, the refreshing breeze of the Matla River and the lush greenery of its delta quickly transport us away from the city’s chaos.

  • The launch ride itself is a highlight, offering breathtaking views of the delta.

  • Within a short while, we reach Gosaba and our Sundarban journey officially begins.

Breakfast on the Launch

Enjoy a freshly served breakfast with drinking water on the boat deck.

Heritage Bungalows Tour (11:00 AM – 12:00 PM)

Our Sundarban tour package includes visits to two historic landmarks:

  • Beacon Bungalow – Rabindranath Tagore once stayed here during his Sundarban visit.

  • Hamilton Bungalow – Built by Sir Daniel Hamilton, the “Father of Sundarban,” who founded the largest cooperative society in the region.

Guided storytelling makes these stops rich with history and nostalgia.

Lunch & Birdwatching at Pakhir Jungle (1:30 PM – 2:30 PM)

  • Relish a delicious lunch served on the launch.

  • After lunch, we cruise towards Pakhir Jungle, a paradise for bird lovers. Thousands of migratory and local birds soar around the island, creating a magical scene.

You may spot:

  • 7 types of kingfishers

  • Black cormorants, egrets, pond herons

  • Brahmani kites, magpie robins, green bee-eaters

  • Plus unique mangrove creatures like mudskippers and fiddler crabs

Evening Cultural Experience (5:00 PM – 7:00 PM)

  • Check in at a Sundarban Birds View Cottage.

  • Relax and enjoy a local folk cultural program with tea & snacks.

  • Dinner will be served at the hotel.

This is the most exciting day of the Sundarban Jungle Safari.

Safari Start (7:30 AM – 8:30 AM)

  • Morning tea and light breakfast.

  • Our government-licensed guide joins us at Sajnekhali Tiger Reserve.

  • Begin the full-day boat safari through rivers, creeks, and islands.

Areas covered:

  • Pirkhali, Sarakkhali, Gazikhali, Deul Bharani, Banbibi Bharani

Wildlife you may encounter:

  • Spotted deer, crocodiles, wild boars

  • Water monitor lizards, snakes, migratory birds

  • And with some luck – the Royal Bengal Tiger 🐅

Do-Banki Watch Tower & Canopy Walk (12:30 PM)

  • Experience the 498-meter canopy walk, protected with iron fencing for safety.

  • Perfect for wildlife photography and panoramic jungle views.

  • A freshwater pond here often attracts deer, tigers, and other animals.

Panchamukhni & Village Experience (2:00 PM – 5:00 PM)

  • Visit Panchamukhni (Five River Junction) by boat.

  • Later, explore Dayapur Village Market, located beside the Sundarban Tiger Reserve.

  • Witness authentic village life and buy fresh raw honey collected by locals.

Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

The final day brings both calmness and adventure.

Early Morning (6:00 AM – 9:00 AM)

  • Tea and biscuits served at the hotel.

  • Village sightseeing near the resort, where you experience Sundarban’s rural charm.

  • Onboard the boat, enjoy a hearty breakfast.

Mangrove Forest Adventure (9:30 AM – 1:00 PM)

  • Begin the thrilling small boat ride through the mangrove creeks.

  • Get up close to the dense forests, exotic birds, and aquatic life for an unforgettable experience.

Lunch & Return Journey (1:00 PM – 3:00 PM)

  • Lunch served on the boat deck.

  • Afterward, we sail back towards Godhkhali.

  • By evening, return to Kolkata, marking the end of this memorable Sundarban trip.

Day 1

➡️ Snacks: 11 a.m. Amudi Fish fry

➡️ Lunch: Rice, Dal, fry, Vegetable, Prawn Malai curry (2pis), Bhetki Fish, Chatni, Papad, and green salad.

➡️ Afternoon: 4:00 p.m. fruits

➡️ Snacks: Chicken Pokora, Tea/Coffe.

➡️ Dinner: Rice, Deshi Mutton, vegetable, Salad.

Day 2

➡️ Early Morning: Bed Tea with biscuit.

➡️ Breakfast: kochuri, Chana Masala, Sweet, Tea/coffee.

➡️ Snacks: potato finger at 11:00 a.m.

➡️ Lunch: Rice, Dal, fry, Vegetable, Vangon / Parshe Fish curry, Katla kaliya, Chatni, Papad, green salad.

➡️ Afternoon: 4 p.m. fruits.

➡️ Snacks: egg Chowmin, Tea/ Coffee.

➡️ Dinner: Rice, chicken curry, Kashmiri aloo dum, Salad.

Day 3

➡️ Early Morning: Bed Tea with biscuit.

➡️ Breakfast: Alu Parota mixed Archer, Tok dohi, boiled egg, Tea/ Coffee.

➡️ Snacks: Bhej pakoda at 11 a.m.

➡️ Lunch: Rice, Dal, Fry, Vegetable, crabs curry, Ruhi curry, Chatni, Papad , green salad.

  1. Indian nationals need to carry photo ID proof with two xerox copies, Foreigners need to carry their original passport with Indian Visa is Must.
  2. Carry common Medicines.
  3. Please keep in mind that Sundarban is a Plastic free zone.
  4. Don’t pollute the habitat by throwing anything out from the boat/Launch.
  5. Hunting, fishing, damage to flora is serious offence.
  6. Preferably carry cash as possibility of accessing ATM is remote.
  7. Do not enter in the Sunderbans National park/Tiger reserve without valid permit.
  8. Treat the Protected Area/wilderness area with respect.
  9. Dress in colours that blend with the natural environment.
  10. No entry after sunset and before sunrise is permitted in the Protected Area.
  11. Keep a reasonable distance from wild animals, and do not provoke them.
  12. Don’t play any sound system.
  13. Entry in the Core area/ Non tourism area is prohibited.
  14. Carrying of guns, fire arms, weapons, bows, arrows and Dronne, inflammable materials are strictly prohibited.
  15. Carry sunglasses, hats and sun tan lotion.
  16. Feeding wild animals by tourists are not permitted.
  17. Carry Light baggage, Camera, Binoculars for better spotting, and Comfortable footwear.
